- ⅔ cup whole wheat pastry flour or all-purpose flour
- 1 ⅓ cup cornmeal
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon ground flax
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 cup milk
- ⅓ cup applesauce
Preheat oven to 375° F
Make a flax egg by combining the ground flax and water.
In a bowl combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl along with the flax egg and mix to combine.
Pour into a prepared baking dish.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
